At Lorna Jane we believe Activewear should look good, feel great and be designed for how life is really lived – busy, flowing, and always in motion.
We are driven to design the best Activewear because we understand that you are always moving, whether it’s a morning ride to the office, a walk to pick up some groceries, or sprinting to make it to your post-work spin class, you need a wardrobe that can keep up with you. You want clothes that fit you and your active life.
You’re wearing a great sports bra while running errands, your favourite leggings to the office as well as to yoga and your favourite t-shirt gets worn on the tennis court and at happy hour. Your wardrobe is like your life: you want the most out of both and you want quality pieces that you can wear over and over again.
"At Lorna Jane we believe that sustainability is not a luxury but the future – and we’re driven to ensure that our communities, planet and environment are just as healthy as the women that wear our Activewear."
- Lorna Jane Clarkson
Our goal is to change how our customers shop, encouraging them to invest in pieces that they can wear more often and for more activities. If as consumers we choose to buy quality over quantity, we will buy LESS which will force the fashion industry to make LESS and successfully reduce the negative impacts that fashion production can have on our planet.
"When you Buy Better Not More you’re saying ”no” to the fast fashion industry and making a positive move towards sustainability in fashion."
- Lorna Jane Clarkson
We know sustainability starts in our own backyards so:
It’s the symbol that has become synonymous with Lorna Jane - but what does it mean? One off-kilter square is a ligature of our founders' initials; LJ. Together, the trio represents the daily practice of Move, Nourish, Believe — the Active Living™ philosophy that we stand by. Move your body every day. Nourish from the inside out. Believe that anything is possible.
Here at Lorna Jane, we thoroughly performance test our product through weekly fits, in-house product testing, and commercial standard testing. Our garments are tried on at every stage of their development, from first fit to bulk production, going through adjustments to ultimately product the best fit. We also conduct in-house wear testing across various body sizes and exercises to ensure it exceeds expectations for its intended purpose. To officially test the product, we use a commercial standard to assess stretch and recovery, pilling, colour fastness, moisture wicking, abrasion, and wash testing. All of this testing is conducted to ensure you have the best possible garment for your active living.
